Thanks for watching The Scene!
Episode 5 launched last night (March 3rd). You can grab it any time at http://www.welcometothescene.com.
Ep5 was the first time we showed another member of CPX, and we had a blast putting it together. We'd love to get your feedback, so drop us a line at brian.sandro@gmail.com. We'll put as many of your questions as possible into the next newsletter.
Lots of people asked us this month about the woman who appeared in Brian's apartment in Episode 4. The story doesn't really tell us who she is, but it's clear that Brian isn't being 100% honest with his girlfriend, Melissa. That's not too surprising, I suppose, when you consider all the lies and half-truths that pervade Brian's life. This isn't to say that I think Brian is a bad person. Far from it. I see him as a regular guy who happens to be in extraordinary circumstances.
His lifestyle requires a high degree of duplicity and secrecy, so it's possible that he's developed some bad habits. It's also possible that even though he is an elite movie pirate, he's also just a college kid who wants to have a good time…
A lot of people have also asked us recently about our production schedule. Our short-term goal is to do one new episode every two weeks. To be honest, we're not there yet. We've got an outstanding crew of seven people who put each episode together - and we all have day jobs - so we're basically cranking episodes out as fast as we can, which is panning out to be one ep every three weeks or so. We'll keep y
Episode 6 has been written and we're planning to shoot during the weeks of March 7th and March 14th. We'll launch Episode 6 on March 25.
Without giving too much away, you can expect to see how the events of episode 5 unfold and affect all the members of CPX. (They're a resourceful bunch, so things may not go the way Teflon's new friend
expects!) The ep will give us a chance to see things from another character's perspective – someone we only know so far from text conversations on Brian's computer. After that, we plan on getting back to Brian's desktop.
So that's it for now. Thanks for watching the show – and a special thanks to all of you from around the world who have taken the time to write with questions, comments, and suggestions. The Scene is regularly downloaded in over 70 countries!
Best,
Mitchell R.
